vacuus erat autem mundus
but the world was empty...
[/SIZE]but the world was empty...
The circle of life. We all know the story. We are born, we go through the normal routine of life, we die. But what about the circle of history? It is well known that history will repeat itself. History, like life, is a circle. We start at the basics. We grow, mature, advance. We become so advanced that we think society owes us something. We decide what we want, and we set our sights on nothing less. We become too powerful, a vacuum turned against its own kind. We wage wars. We compete. Who can build it better? Faster? Stronger? More powerful? Who can wipe out the world first? Both life and history are destroyed. It is mankind's history of self destruction that is repeated time and time again.
The two-legs, they have done it again. They went and made everything so complicated. Everything was a competition. People became desperate. They just wanted things the way they used to be. The words were whispered throughout the world: Lucifer has fallen. The process of simplification had begun. The two-legs prepared themselves for the worst.
The world ended and began again in a brilliant flash of light. Anything in the direct path disintegrated in less than a second. Very few survived. Miraculously, a few equine were among them. One in particular, Caelum, was the first to see the wreckage.
His dappled pelt shaded with dark sand, the large stag pulled himself from the debris. His eyes set on the wasteland he had called home for the first time.
And his lips parted, Miserere mei, Deus.
Have mercy on me, God.
