Ella stuck her tounge out weakly. "See I told you. They are good people, there is isn't anything to worry about." She leaned her head to the side, slumping down into the chair. She used his arm as a pillow, she didn't feel so good now. A slow aching throb had started behind her temples."Ask her please."
Kelvhan turned to the mans voice. "She often says too much and has a nack for angering people. Besides this is a delicate thing, I'd prefer it if not everyone knew." He sighed looking down at Ella, knowing she wasn't feeling well. He left her alone, not minding the loss of use of his arm. He turned to the elf, lowering his voice to avoid anyone but Arlenwa and Vol.
"We are half-bloods, half-human half-elf. We were raised by humans and know nothing about our real family. We were left only with our names and the family crest."
He looked toward Cricket and the cat pranced over to him. With one hand he easy picked the cat up and set him facing the elf.
"You see the pattern on his forehead? We were told that it is our family crest. All our animal companions are marked with it as well as we are." He pointed to the same tatto on Ella's stomach.
"We have been searching for the truth. It is the only thing that intrests Ella. We haven't come across any elfs yet." He sighed heavily and trailed off, eyes back on Ella.

Vol shifted his position slightly. It eased him to know that none of them debated his staff falling on the floor. His head tilted back down at the floor listening, his hood seeming to make everything seem louder into his ears. Their voices came clearly to him.
Arlenwa agreed with him. He half smiled. He knew his words were wise at times. He listened to the two... 'half-bloods' talk in complete silence without a single movement. He was so still, listening and silent that he could easily be mistaken for a dead man. "The conversation will not leave my head." He said simply, yet truthfully. He wouldn't speak another word of it. Vol was good a keeping secrest. He and April shared them all the time.
But not only was Vol listening as normal into the conversation, but he was mostly intent on listening to the pair. One was definitely sounding a little tired out. He frowned, eyebrows bringing together slightly. It was possible to get colds, the flu, or other sicknesses from being wet for too long. If her breathing quickened, Vol was sure to hear it with his fine sence of hearing and he would be able to act. It was always brought upon Vol to take care of his family when they fell ill.... he and .... April. She was the one that taught him.
Pushing the thoughts away, Vol consentrated on the others' speech. Family crest? Interesting. What did it look like? How big was it? Questions temporarily blotted his mind. Ahh if only he could see. Time to start with one question at a time. Find the first answer...
"Crest? Hmm..." A hand reached into the hood and rubbed his chin thoughfully, before falling back down and folding across the other arm as he were before. "What does it look like?" Pausing, he bolted for an excuse. Vol didn't like to simply state his weaknesses clearly. "I-I can't see it from here...." He frowned, turning his head slightly to look at the brother and sister.

Arlenwa held back a smirk at the sight of Ella and Kelvhan. They reminded her of how she and her own brothers acted.. Sighing quietly, she rubbed her forearm, "No one will know."
"We are half-bloods, half-human half-elf. We were raised by humans and know nothing about our real family. We were left only with our names and the family crest." The she-elf leaned back slightly, thinking to herself. She watched as Kelvhan moved the cat, eyeing the creature in silence. "You see the pattern on his forehead? We were told that it is our family crest. All our animal companions are marked with it as well as we are." The elf nodded, more to herself, and leaned forward again to study the marking. "We have been searching for the truth. It is the only thing that intrests Ella. We haven't come across any elfs yet." "Well now you have," she said smiling, glancing up from the cat briefly.
"The truth you say?" She brushed stray locks of dark hair from her face, still looking at the cat. Had she seen this crest before? There were so many in the world, and even though they were all unique, it was still often difficult to place with what family it was of. "What exactly are you looking to find out? Who your family was?"
"Crest? Hmm..." Arlenwa looked up and over to Vol, smiling slightly. "What does it look like? I-I can't see it from here...." "It's difficult to say. Very intricate and it looks a bit like a cross with a small shape in the center similar to a butterfly." She offered, knowing it probably didn't do the job but perhaps Vol would at least appreciate the attempt.

"Thank you both I appericate it very much." Kelvhan fell slient for a moment thinking over Arlenwa's question. He pulled a small peice of rolled up parchment and gave it to Cumar.
The wolf stood and carried it over to Vol. "Take it it's very ruff but you'll have a better idea. Ella sketched it awhile back." On the parchment was a raised sketch of the crest, one that Kelv kept with him. He wouldn't show his own crest so Ella had made it for him. He turned back to Arlenwa.
"I don't know. Anything and everything we can I suppose. Ella wants to know why. Why we were given to a human family and left with nothing. She won't say it but it's what she wants most." He could live without knowing but if Ella wanted it then he was going to try and get it for her. He looked down at her, half asleep and useing his arm as a pillow. "I only wish for Ella to be happy, and if that means hunting down every detail about our past we will."
His voice softened. "Don't worry about it if you don't know anything."
Ella spoke, only a whisper, and didn't bother to open her eyes or lift her head. "I don't feel so good Kelv."
He froze as she spoke then laid his hand on her cheek. "I know. Just rest, it'll be ok." He clearly didn't know what to do, medicine and healing weren't his thing, not in the least bit.

Vol listened as footsteps approaches him. Soft, padding, yet bigger then a cat or smaller creature. 'Dog?' Was his first thought. But something didn't seem right about it. He was almost tempted to give the creature a pat on the head, but he held back. He frowned, wondering exactly what was in front of him. "Thaaaaank you." He smiled down at it otherwise, taking the paper lightly in his hands.
From within the depths of his hood, Vol frowned. Okay. So he'd have to go with Arlenwa's description. A cross and buterfly... oh well... Parchment and sketches only added to his confusion. Why couldn't people just describe things sometimes? It'd make things easier for Vol, but he supposed that not all things can be explained very well. "Ahh...I see." He said simply with a sigh. It was a lie, two in a sense, but he handed it back to the creature that had deilvered it to him.
He pushed the conversation away from his main focus, closing his blind eyes to concentrate. 'She didn't feel good.' It meant that it certainly wasn't good. Kelvhan and Alenwa could talk all they wanted to... the conversation didn't realy involve him. 'Ella' was more concerning. She was getting sick, and it definitely wasn't good.
"I beg your pardons for interupting, but it might be good if Miss 'Ella' sat by the fire. The rain can easily chill anyone right to the bones..." He said, turning his head slightly to look at the two. He stood up off the wall and moved over, just in case that they were nervous of his presence there. He hesitated before adding. "It'll do you good Miss Ella...' Motioning to the warm fire with an open hand.

"I only wish for Ella to be happy, and if that means hunting down every detail about our past we will." The elf nodded. "Perhaps I could take you to the hall of records in Aglar Arda? There is sure to be record of the crest and your family." Yes, that would probably do the trick. "Usually only the elves living there have access, but I do believe I could get you in." Of course she could. If they only knew who her mother was and who Arlenwa herself was. Then again, maybe she shouldn't return home. Arbellason was most likely waiting there.. Bah, she would help Ella and Kelvhan if they so wished.
"I don't feel so good Kelv." The voice brought Arlenwa's gaze over to the shivering Ella. "I know. Just rest, it'll be ok."
"I beg your pardons for interupting, but it might be good if Miss 'Ella' sat by the fire. The rain can easily chill anyone right to the bones..." Her gaze flickered to Vol near the fireplace. "It'll do you good Miss Ella..."
Arlenwa frowned, and dug through a bag hanging from her shoulder beneath her cloak. She pulled out several green leaves and offered them to the pair. "Yes, and these will help fight the cold." If neither of them took them she would merely lay them on the table until they did. Arlenwa gathered her cloak about her shoulders and pulled her hood up. Just as she did, a rather large man came in, soaking wet. He ignored them and went straight for the bar. It was better to be cautious.

Cumar huffed softly but trotted back to the table, taking his place by Cricket.
Kelv looked to Vol, "Right should have thought of that." He turned to Arlenwa, frowning, but took the leaves. He felt stupid he should have paid more attention to healing. In one simple move he hoisted Ella out of her chair, supporting most of her weight and led her over to the fire dragging the chair behind him. He pushed her gently down into the chair. He stood over her not wanting to leave her there.
Ella curled up in the chair half-asleep. Her head rested on her arms, the warmth of the fire chasing away the chill. "I want to go, to that place with Arlenwa." She was whispering, she might be half-asleep and sick but she wasn't going to give up.
Kelvhan smiled, "Of course you do. We'll go after your better. Now rest." It figured that she had still been listening, it was just like her not to give up, stubborn as always. He left her there, and went back to the table. He slumped into his chair and leaned forward, head in his hands. It was a tired, hopeless look that he wouldn't show Ella. If he lost her he'd loose everything.
"If you could do that for us, we'd be in your debt."
He looked up at her, studing her features for the first time. He saw her put her hood up, understanding that she must be uncomfortable, here in a tavern full of mostly humans. She had an air of flight about her, like she wanted to run and be away from human eyes.
"Your not planing on staying long though. Possibly we could all move out together." He ment this to include Vol, it would be a nice change to have some male company and Kelv had a feeling that there was much he could learn from them both. "That is of course if we are all headed in the same direction. We do not want to inconvience you, if your traveling a different way."
He used the pural simply because Ella and he were very rarely seperated and where one went the other would follow. It had been that way since their birth and was nothing more than habit now. He glanced at Ella quickly then grinned. "Besides it would be rude of me not to offer our company and protection to a blind man and a Lady." He ment no offence, he was simply trying to lighten the mood. He had known that Vol was blind, or at least suspected it untill the crest was mentioned, then he knew for sure. That and the fact that he hadn't cringed away from Cumar, most people did.

Vol never moved. Blind. He knew. Then again, Vol wasn't surprised. If the siblings and Arlenwa were atleast part elf, they would have the keen sence to tell. Vol knew he was good at hiding his disadvantage. No other human would have guessed. He was clumsy, that's for sure, but many other people were too. Vol was clumsy over things that shouldn't be; which most likely gave him away.
He scowled from the depths of his hood. He hated being treated as a downcast, unlooked upon, or if he were, then looked upon as useless, defenceless, hopeless. Well, here was news for everyone that could read minds... Vol had hope, he was FAR from defenceless, he was useful in most cases, sometimes not in others. But that's again, the same with everyone else.
His grip tightened on the white staff; the gloves beginning to squelch from the pressure and stretch. It annoyed him, annoyed him deeply. It was then he realized that he was dead silent for a very, very long time. It was if a mental clock were thudding noisily in his head at how long his silence had been. He shouldn't have let his annoyance get a better of him.
"I was heading that way, so I think company sounds rather nice. But as for protection, I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself safe. Thank you for thinking of me anyways..." A smile appeared across his lips, and his head lifted and tilted one ways in a sign of good humour. Then the hood flashed down to look at Ella.
"As for you Miss, you should rest. Talking and forcing yourself to stay awake is definitely NOT on the list for recovery..." He scolded humourosly, waggling his index finger at her childishly with a quiet: "Tsk. Tsk!"

Most of what the others said was acknowledged with a simple nod if appropriate. "If you could do that for us, we'd be in your debt." At this, Arlenwa shook her head. "Nonsense. I'm here to serve." A smile spread halfway along her lips before disappearing.
"Your not planing on staying long though. Possibly we could all move out together." Arlenwa didn't usually travel with others, but some company would be nice.. "That is of course if we are all headed in the same direction. We do not want to inconvience you, if your traveling a different way."
"Besides it would be rude of me not to offer our company and protection to a blind man and a Lady." The elf raised her brows, crossing her arms. She assumed he didn't mean they were incapable of caring for themselves, but it still bothered her when men assumed all females were helpless. "I was heading that way, so I think company sounds rather nice. But as for protection, I'm perfectly capable of keeping myself safe. Thank you for thinking of me anyways..." Arlenwa pursed her lips, relaxing. "I'll come as well, though I don't want protection either. It's easy enough for me to handle a sword." Though her words sounded slightly rude, she didn't mean them to be.
Did she really look like that much of a lady? Perhaps she'd have to roll in the mud before they left.. but no, Arlenwa couldn't do that. It wasn't like her kind. Then again, she wasn't like most of the ladies of Aglar Arda. How boring their lives had to be.
Blue eyes moved to Vol, an amused grin on her face. "As for you Miss, you should rest. Talking and forcing yourself to stay awake is definitely NOT on the list for recovery..." She looked down at Ella, and uncrossed her arms. "Tsk. Tsk!"
"When shall we leave?" Arlenwa looked to Kelvhan now. "Not now of course, your sister will need to rest.. to sleep in a proper bed." Her gaze moved from the various people in the room and to the faces of her soon-to-be traveling company.

Kelvhan had expected their reactions, but at least Vol caught on. He knew that they both were likely to be able to defend themselves and probably well. He never was a people person, that was Ella's job. From below his feet Cumar huffed, the sound rough and repeating. The sound produced mimicked that of a human chuckle, earning him a slight glare from Kelv.
Ella managed to open her eyes slightly to look at Vol. "I guess I am kinda..." she yawned have to struggle to stay coherent long enough to finish, "tired." Less than a minute later she was fast asleep, body going limp in the chair.
"Tomorrow morning if at all possible, at least that is what I'd prefer." He smiled hearing Ella finaly give in to sleep, but it worried him too. It wasn't like her to just fall asleep in a time like this, even if she was sick. He watched her sleeping, for a bit in complete silence.
He looked between his new traveling companinons and then back to Ella. "Do you think it's serious?" The concern echoed in his voice, making clear as to what he ment. His eyes never left Ella as Cricket left his warm spot by Cumar's flank and neatly jumped into the chair, curling up in Ella's lap.

Vol's head slowly turned towards the 'chuckling' at the floor. He smiled, glancing back towards Ella. It was good that she fell asleep. She clearly needed it. He was thankful for Arlenwa agreeing with him somewhat. He didn't feel quite so helpless, rude, or unthankful when she mentioned she could care for herself aswell. It made him feel better in a sense, yet what Kelvhan had said was a really good point. This was his chance to learn something useful in fighting, maybe even get a chance to practice. Vol was much out of shape there, and perhaps he might get a chance to practice without Sidedish's help. Vol wanted to learn to fight on his own, without having to keep relying on others for help.
"We could all use a good sleep. It depends on Miss Ella...." He said with a nod in her direction before 'looking' back at Kelv. "If it isn't any better by tomorow, then I highly suggest not to leave quite yet. Travelling ill is not a way to travel." He said simply.
{*frowns* This was short. I'm sorry. >< }

"Tomorrow morning if at all possible, at least that is what I'd prefer." Arlenwa nodded, studying Ella with a slight frown. "Do you think it's serious?" The elf pursed her lips, brows pushing together in thought. "She should be fine.. In fact, I am quite sure she will be. If she gets worse I can help and once we reach Aglar Ardaw there are others who are highly skilled healers." She smiled reassuringly, fingers working the edge of her cloak beneath the table. Arlenwa wasn't particularly worried about Ella's condition, but if it did indeed get worse she would be in good hands in the Elven city.
Going to Aglar Arda is was made Arlenwa nervous.. Arbellason would be there. Dealing with him wouldn't be too difficult though. He trusted her and vice versa. Leaving again should be simple. "If it isn't any better by tomorow, then I highly suggest not to leave quite yet. Travelling ill is not a way to travel." "Agreed," Arlenwa said nodding again. Of course they wouldn't leave until Ella was better.. but for Arlenwa the longer they stayed the longer her life would be in danger. Not that was different than her every day life, but she didn't particularly like being in this area. Despite her life being in danger and all, Arlenwa would be glad to help them. Very much so. It would feel good to do even a little something for another besides her own kin.

"Right whatever is best." Kelvhan ran a hand through his hair. Haveing others around made him slightly nervous, mostly because he was afriad to make the wrong choice. It was one of the worst things for him to deal with, or at least he beleived it was. Ella always treated him as if he could do no wrong and it only helped to pressure him more into trying to be more perfect. He shook the thoughts out of his mind and stood, streching.
"Well I guess it's off to bed then." He walked over to Ella and effortlessly picked her up, one hand behind her knees the other behind her back. It wasn't hard to hold her up, and after all he was used to carrying her around.
Cricket jumped down with a disgruntaled meow, and took a place by Kelv's feet. Ella shifted, but only to turn her face to Kelv.

Vol nodded, shrugging the white staff off his shoulder so it slid into his waiting hand. "Sleep tight." He said politely. His ears gave a small twitch as he heard a ruffling from where Ella's spot last was, and from hte cat's displeased meow, figured that Ella was being held and carried. In a way, he was nervous for tomorow. He hoped that the girl, Ella, would be feeling much better, but was slightly anxious or nervous about travelling in a group. There would be four of them total. A fairly large group Vol would say. He sighed, picking up his bag and slinging it over his left shoulder. The Armour he had taken from his home a long time ago clunked as it hit his back. Vol winced.
Clearing his throat, he nodded first to Arlenwa, then to Kelvhan and Ella. "See you in the morning, then." Now he needed to wait for one of the others to mvoe first, hopefully in an event of helping him find a direction towards the rooms... ugh.

"Goodnight," Arlenwa said, smiling slightly. She stood, pulling her cloak closer around her then made her way to the stairs, making more noise than she usually would- Noise a normal human would make. She figured Vol might need a bit of direction. The barkeep nodded to her, having her payment already so she would be free to leave when she wished.. but now it seemed that she had something to wait for. Hm. Oh well.
Pushing the door open Arlenwa stopped, examining the room. It wasn't the cleanest in the world but it'd do. Arlenwa sat on the edge of the bed, letting her cloak drop off and she pulled things out of her pack then put them back and rolled over, letting herself fall into a light sleep.. not deep enough to stay asleep at the smallest sound.
