Byron looked at the forest of trees in frustration, his tail lifting up slightly, then slapping back down with gentle thwacks on the grass. He had recently begin to doubt in finding another. Blinking, he shook his wings. "You're right once again." He said. "I'll keep searching and keep an eye out for any signs." He stood up, taking the time to stretch his limbs as he did. 'They'll find me.. or I'll find them sounds very promissing...'
He watched him finish the cigar and put it away. There was definitely something different about Gregnel that made him so different then the hunters that had 'brutally' killed the other members of his family. He actually cared for the forest. He didn't want Byron for feathers, claws or teeth like amny others have in the past.
Byron blinked. "That's quite alright. The deer was your catch." He watched Gregnel greatfully. "Quite a skillfull catch at that. Most upwalkers don't catch their prey by sneaking up on it and pulling it into the river." He looked amused. "Besides. I have eaten recently, so I'll be alright for a while. But thank you anyways. Hunting for someone your size must be much harder then someone my size."
"I will be sure to seek you out Gregnel! And thank you for this little chat...It seemed to make the sun warmer." He chucked with a small purr.

Gregnel chuckled as Byron mentioned his size, he looked down at himself and grinned. "Come on, I am not that small." he told Byron with a chuckle. "I do hope your search leads you to others of your race, there is plenty of room in this forest for your kind. Although make sure you leave some deer for me." he told the bird as he pushed of the tree and bent to pick up his things for the third time.
"Its time I took this deer home and bled it out before the meat begins to spoil." he told him, wondering where Byron would go now or if he would hang around a up walker now that he saw that Gregnel meant him no harm.
He didn't comment on his way of killing the animal, eventually Byron would figure him out and he was in no hurry to see judgment or hatred come to Byron's eyes like so many others in the past when they found out his true race.

Byron 'purred' in good pleasure. "I will admit that you are taller then many an upwalker I have seen in these woods." His 'ears' flicked to the trees, listening, then back to 'normal', or normal as far as ears go.
The griffin nodded. "Me too. Hopefully I will find others. If I do, I'll make sure to save enough deer and -" He paused. "-rodents for you." He smiled.
Shaking his feathers loose, he stretched a graceful cat stretch. Shaking out each foot, he shook his head before making a reply. "I couldn't agree more. Nothing tastes better then a freshly caught meal. I'll follow you a little ways, then I'm afraid I'll have to make my leave."
He blinked, bakcing up to make enough room for Gregnel to pass. There was no point in following if Byron was leading the way. Besides, you can't make nice conversation when one is in front. They could walk side by side until they had to part.
Byron ruffled his feathers slightly. There was a difference between Gregnel and the hunters. Gregnel was a completely different hunter in all. He actually had compation, and hte right words to bring hope to one who had almost lost theirs completely. He hunts for the need to hunt; not for pleasure. They were alike the two; but yet there was still soemthing different about Gregnel that Byron can't quite put yet. A question came to thought, yet stayed there; What is an upwalker doing on here and living in the forest?
