------------ Quick fingers moved over the bandage as she stuffed some more leaves into his hand, hoping he wouldn't just toss them away, he had to eat them. Blue eyes filled with concern, before he mentioned Naneth again, mother? Frowning, Elwing mused, brushing some of his dark hair back as the fire rekindled itself in the fire pit. "Naneth?" she inquired, eying him curiously. He touched his burn, and she slapped his hand away, "You'll just hurt yourself more." Quickly, the hybrid tied off the bandage, and then looked up to him when he murmured a thank you. Perplexed for a moment, the woman doubted he was thanking her for saving his life, since she'd given him this. This was why she needed to work on the fire, maybe - since he already knew - she could practice, he might even be able to help. Smothering that thought and hope immediately, once she realized it had surfaced, Elwing murmured, "I do not know why, but you're welcome."
He shifted away from her, and she fell back onto her butt on the soft ground, letting her energy and adrenaline, she could say, die down. Hevlena whinnied some feet away, before trotting up to her rider's side, offering her a gentle nudge with her soft nose. Peering up to Nasic, Elle mused, "I didn't mean to harm him, Nasic." she grinned innocently, though it was weakly. As Cedric mentioned being harmed, she frowned, then spoke, "May be, Cedric, but not with a burn on your side and a poison-tipped arrow to go with it." she arched a brow, and gestured to the leaves in his hand, "Eat them, they taste a little weird, but it will help counter-act the poison." As she put her stuff back into the saddle bags on Hevlena's side, seeing a wide smile, her heart raced irratically. Was he working for them? Had he planned this the moment he'd seen her?
Panic set it, and Elle stiffened, before hearing another thank you, and he appeared to be smothering laughter. Curious, she asked, "What....?" She shifted, before patting Hevlena, who seemed to check the blonde over, just as the hybrid then looked to the fire, and the fire roared to life, though not with the ferocity it had been there before. Biting her bottom lip silently, she looked to him, "You should rest, Cedric, we move when you feel somewhat better." Which meant she'd keep a look-out for awhile. As she let Cedric rest, knowing the poison would probably make him sleepy, she then collapsed onto the ground, and sighed heavily, before opening up her "fighting" canteen, the canteen with water in it that she couldn't drink, but could fight with if there wasn't any around and she couldn't draw it from the air. The water floated out as her hand "drew" it out, appearing to be snake-like almost. The thick tendril of water spun in the air as she lazily messed with it, a soft sound of the movement of water, and the cackling of the fire filled the clearing.

Cedric EretThe fight inside is breaking me again Still the same, pursuing pain Is it worth all I have gained? We both know how this will end, but I do it again.
Cedric sighed dramatically as she forced the leaves into his hand. Do I really have to? No answer. His body shook involuntarily, biting his lip from the pain as he shifted. "Naneth?" He looked up from the ground, hands clutching the leaves tightly. "Ah, just.. thinking about my mother," Cedric lied, adding a sheepish smile for good measure. "You'll just hurt yourself more." He frowned, pulling back his hand and eating one of the leaves, wincing every so often from the pain. "It wouldn't matter anyway. It's not like you can't make it to town on your own." Grey-blue eyes flickered up from the leaf he was forcing himself to ear. "You're a lot more capable of caring for yourself than I thought. Probably more capable than I am of protecting myself." "I do not know why, but you're welcome." He shrugged. It wasn't like she needed to know.
"I didn't mean to harm him, Nasic." Nasic nickered quietly, bobbing his head up and down. If his master was fine with it, then he'd be a good boy. "May be, Cedric, but not with a burn on your side and a poison-tipped arrow to go with it." He sighed, shoving another leaf into his mouth, swallowing. "Eat them, they taste a little weird, but it will help counter-act the poison." "I feel like a horse," he muttered, moving to touch his side, but pulling away when he remembered he'd only get slapped. Again. Nasic snorted in protest, blowing air through his nostrils, brushing his muzzle gently on his head. "Sorry."
"What....?" Cedric shrugged, frowning now. "I guess I'm a little off from the pain." "You should rest, Cedric, we move when you feel somewhat better." "Fine, fine. Maybe this'll force my body to fall asleep." He grumbled, laying back, grimacing as he turned his waist, tightening the damaged skin on his side. Cedric pulled his cloak over him, putting the hood over his face, and sighing. "I like your powers by the way. I think I would've been killed otherwise. Not too thrilled about being.. burned," he spoke in a muffled voice, the thick fabric of his hood slowly falling inwards, touching his nose. Ignoring it, he shut his eyes, and let sleep take him for a little while.

ELWING HANOV I CAN DO BETTER, JUST TELL ME WHAT I NEED TO DO TO MAKE YOU HAPPY TO CALL ME A FRIEND. TO CALL ME A DAUGHTER. TO CALL ME YOUR LOVER. I WILL DO ANYTHING TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE HERE TONIGHT.
------------ Rubbing her hands off onto her clothing to get the leaf residue off, the blonde looked up as Cedric spoke about getting to town safely, she paused, hesitating, before she mused her worries, "Yes, but it is not I, for whom I worry about." her gaze lingered on his a few moments longer, before finally breaking the contact. Her thoughts tumbled over one another as Cedric spoke, she didn't feel like responding, she was too worried, and too deep in thought for a full response. Lips pursed slightly, before she allowed a grimace to fall across her features, cringing, she wondered, since he was this soldier, whom he worked for. Biting her bottom lip, she opened her mouth to ask her query, but when Cedric mentioned he liked her powers, her entire body went numb, though she could feel her heart beating like a rabbit bounding away in her chest.
"I apologize, again, Cedric...but a burn is temporary, death is not." she arched an eyebrow, before she grabbed the sword she'd stolen, and once she was sure Cedric was lying down and comfortable, she kept the fire going stronger with some more branches and such, before leaping up, her elven agility coming into play. Leaning gently on a branch, shielded from peering eyes beneath with the leaves, she grinned weakly to herself. If he did work for someone, such as Rhiannon, or Anorith, or whom-ever, would he report her? A run-away slave with large powers? She certainly hoped not. Turning to peer down at Cedric, eyes gentle with lost hope, though concern for him. He would be all right, but for some reason, there was something about him and his mind that got her thinking. He always seemed so - distracted, now though, now, he appeared more - human. Frowning at this thought, she shook her head silently, knowing he was probably just as sane as she was.
Grasping her bow, she latched an arrow onto it, eyes focused out onto the nighttime surroundings, the full moon illuminating the peacefulness of it. Something caught her eye. Movement. Jerking her attention that way, when she noticed it was a mother fox, with three kits. Grinning softly, she lowered her bow and arrow, watching them move with curiosity. Smiling silently to herself, she then grasped the branch nearest her that she wasn't standing on, and arched an eyebrow, before noticing the sun was beginning to rise. Was it already dawn? Surprised, Elle dropped quietly down from her perch, as Hevlena stretched slightly, before snorting in the early morning light. Elwing loved this time of day, where things woke up. Standing, so her body was blocking the sunlight from reaching Cedric, she then drew snow from outside of the clearing, and built a "wall" of snow to fight off the sun's light so he could sleep for more than a few hours.
Gathering her things up, Hevlena silently came to her side, and Elwing looked to Cedric silently, and murmured, "I cannot stay with you any longer, it is too dangerous for both of us." she pressed her fingers to his head gently, as a blessing escaped her lips, a blessing so that he could find what he was looking for, find answers in his life. Then, she got out parchment and a quill, writing quickly, leaving it on his person, telling him she'd gone off to town, telling him it was safer if they weren't seen walking into town together, and if he wasn't there by sundown, at this tavern, she'd return here for him. Smiling weakly at him, she then gathered water from the atmosphere, and coiled it up, before the water froze. She then used short bursts of - mostly - controlled fire to carve the ice into the elven symbol for the four elements, earth, water, air and fire. Grinning weakly, she hopped onto Hevlena, and the mare took off, trotting out of the clearing and into the early morning air.
She reached the town as the sun had gotten higher, it took a good 20 minutes on horseback to reach here. The town was already bustling, what had Cedric called it? Oh yes, Iolden. Thinking of Cedric, her worries mounted, but as she reassured herself, she then lead Hevlena around, as some people peered at her curiously, before continuing on, as she headed towards a medicine shop. Tying Hevlena outside, the hybrid entered, brushing her hair in front of her ears, to conceal them, she replenished her herbal supply, before then heading back outside, and lead Hevlena to a stable for awhile, paying someone a few coins to make sure she would be kept safe and don't do anythin, but put her into a stall. Wandering around, her shoes crunching in the snow, she decided to do some shopping, though she doubted she'd be able to finish...
