Alize smiled, and snuggled down into her blanket. She heard Arlenwa say something about the city of Ethis and she moaned in agreement. She watched the horses graze and sighed. I wish its a good day tomorrow. No more heroic stuff. I'm more tired now than I have ever been. she said, with a grumble. She slowly closed her eyes, still awake but half asleep. She listened in closely to Arlenwa and Aranion, ease dropping on their conversation, if they were to have one. She took a long deep breath and held it for a moment. Her mouth sealed itself slowly and she exhaled through her nose noislessly. She leaned down and laid her head on her bag, making sure she was comfy. Her eye opened on Aranion and smiled, as he sang to himself in a drunken way. She giggled at him and closed her eye again, this time falling into her slumber.

"I wish its a good day tomorrow. No more heroic stuff. I'm more tired now than I have ever been." Arlenwa laughed quietly, folding up her map, and placing it inside one of the saddlebags. "I will keep watch then," she murmured to no one in particular, and stood, leaning against a tree as the other two fell into, hopefully, a deep sleep. Eventually, Aranion's drunken singing died off, and he was fully asleep.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arlenwa frowned, seeing small flickers of flame coming from the between the trees, her hand moving to the hilt of her sword. She whistled for the horses, and saddled them, also running to grab Aranion's horse. "Quickly, we must leave." Arlenwa spoke to the others, pushing her boot into Aranion's back. He would probably need the rougher waking.
The trio of horses moved over to each of their riders, snorting anxiously. It was barely morning, and the first rays of light announcing a new day hadn't even appeared over the treeline. "Why.. It's not even... I want to sleep." Arlenwa made a face, and picked him up, pushing him roughly towards his gelding. Arlenwa mounted Sakar, watching patiently as Aranion mounted ever so gracefully, fumbling with the reins. "Valar be with us," she muttered, shaking her head.

Alize awoke lightly and yawned. She twisted and turned to stare up through the branches of the tree. She listened to Aranion moan and grumble as she sat up and yawned again, this time with a quiet moan. Chastity managed to push her way towards her, and she nosed at her. Alize smiled and rubbed her nose. She stood up and grabbed her bag, stuffing the blanket into it and pulling out her hooded cloak, which was a deep blood red colour. She slung it on quickly, throwing the hood up and stuffing the bag quickly into a saddle bag, and mounting her horse. Chastity knickered quietly to the gelding as Aranion fumbled with the reins. Arlenwa mumbled something quickly, and Alize turned Chastity to watch the flickers of a fire closeby. Who is that? she asked. Probably wasn't her place to ask, but she wanted to know. She felt the mare tense beneath her, so Alize rubbed her hand gently down her neck, cooing to her to calm her down.

"Who is that?" "The ones who are tracking me, well.. us now." Aranion raised a brow, his head a little more clear since the other day. "Well maybe you should just kill them." Aranion looked over at Arlenwa, glancing at her sword. "You seemed to be able to handle a whole group well enough." The elf glared. "This is not a small group. They have at least twenty men." Aranion shook his head, the dark chestnut gelding off at a slow gallop.
"I know you did not want any more 'heroic stuff', but.. it seems we must." She apologized. "Noro Sakar." (Run Sakar) The dark bay snorted, starting out at a trot but picking up to a gallop quickly as the voices of men reached his ears.
A small town came into sight, and Aranion halted his gelding, Arlenwa pulling Sakar to a gentle stop some feet away from the man. She didn't trust him, and didn't plan to until he could actually prove himself. So far he had been extremely unresponsible. The she-elf turned her head when Alize and Chastity came up, and sighed, pulling out her map as she looked away. "Where do you need to get to Alize? I owe you an escort at least." Aranion rolled his eyes, and looked over at Alize. Is she really going to let an elf help her? His gaze quickly shifted to the buildings of the somewhat large city, subconciously stroking the dirty pelt of his chestnut.

Alize managed to keep up with the two horses and she stopped, just as Arlenwa spoek to her. She shrugged and watched Aranion. I haven't got to be anywhere. I'm wandering, like I said yesterday. she said, not spitefully, just plainly. She looked round the city and smiled. Where are we? she asked innocently. Chastity moved closer to the gelding, making Alize's leg rub across Aranions. She didn't notice much, but she smiled in his direction. She turned and eyed Arlenwa, who was still staring at the map. She sighed and walk Chastity round in a circle, to keep both of them occupied.

"I haven't got to be anywhere. I'm wandering, like I said yesterday." Arlenwa nodded. Of course. Why did she keep ignoring that fact? Maybe it was because she didn't quite believe it? What was so hard about that? The elf sighed, putting the map in a saddle bag, Sakar snorting. "Where are we?" Arlenwa turned Sakar more towards the city, her face calm and slightly troubled. "We passed the city of Ethis in the night. We are in one of the bigger cities of Anorith now.. and we are quite close to the city of Anorith itself. This is Espius."
Aranion stiffened when he felt a leg against his, but as he turned to find it was Alize, he relaxed slightly. It wasn't the elf. That was good.. "Well, I have nowhere to go as I have been dragged miles and miles and miles from my home." He muttered something else under his breath that sounded suspiciously like a curse. Arlenwa sighed, shaking her head. Apparently she had heard. She hoped Alize hadn't heard his profanities.
Sakar went forward and into a brisk trot, his hooves making a great clatter on the stone roads of the city. The elf turned him sharply to the right, and stopped him in front of a large stately building.

Alize rolled her eyes at the typical behaviour of Aranion. She squeezed the mares belly gently, urging her forward. She followed Arlenwa into the city, watching the locals and smelling the smells. She could smell a bakery somewhere. Chastity stopped abruptly, as Sakar had stopped, making Alize jump. She looked at the building that the elf had stopepd at. What is this place? she asked, as a cart rumbled past, making the gray mare jump slightly as it's wheels clacked against the rough stones of the city. Alzie ran her hand down her neck and patted her softly. She leaned forward, her hood slipped forward and covered her face more than before.

"What is this place?" Arlenwa dismounted, handing to reins to a man in stately clothes. He took Aranion's gelding as well, and headed to a stable with them. Another man came over, offering to take Alize's horse. "The steward of Espius' home." She paused, pulling her hood back from her face. A few merchants looked over, and mumbled among themselves. "We will need permission to go any further. Most cities try to keep the borders safe, but so far Espius has been the most successful at keeping unwanted people out from behind the iron wall of Anorith." The merchant's chatter grew louder, and their glances more anxious.
"They know who you are," Aranion muttered, wishing he had a cloak to pull over his head and hide his face like the two females he was traveling with. "Keep your complaints in your head." Arlenwa led the other two into the building when Chastity was gently led away, the large doors being opened by two men, ornate swords decorating their waists. They obviously weren't meant for fighting, but they would look threatening to those who didn't know they were virtually useless in a fight.
A woman with an eggshell blue dress walked over, her dark locks kept up in a bun. Arlenwa studied her face for a moment, noting the jealousy when she saw Arlenwa and Alize without makeup and still they looked more beautiful than she. "This way," she muttered. She led them to a room, and had two more of the decorated guards open the door. A thin man with greying hair looked up from his work, weariness had been unkind to his face. He had sunken eyes, dark purple circles underneath his dull brown eyes, and wrinkles like a pug. "You wish to pass through the Iron Wall and into the city?" He asked, and anyone could tell this phrase was the thing he had probably said most in his life. Even 'I' or 'me' were words he most likely didn't use. "Yes." "Purpose?" Arlenwa looked to the other two for help. They were truly wandering, and the she-elf had to take them somewhere noteworthy. She hadn't even thought up a good reason to visit the city. Aranion merely stared at the man, with a bored gaze.

Alize dismounted, still trying to calm the mare down. She watched the footmen walk away with her, and she followed Arlenwa into the building. She sighed and watched the guards she passed with intriguing eyes. She stopped when she realised Arlenwa was speaking with someone, who was old and frail. She panacked when the elf turned and stared at her. Alize smiled and wandered over to Aranion, wrapping her arm round his. We are getting married, and my friend is travelling with us to visit my family. We haven't told them yet, we are planning on a surprise. she said, sweetly. She felt slightly repulsed that she had to touch Aranion. She looked at Arlenwa and smiled.

Aranion froze for a moment when he felt Alize's arm around him, but quickly composed himself and put his arm around her, a cocky smirk on his face. "We are getting married, and my friend is travelling with us to visit my family. We haven't told them yet, we are planning on a surprise." Aranion nodded. "We'd rather they didn't fuss over us. You know how future in-laws can be." He added a quiet laugh, and smiled more seriously now, cockiness evaporating into their ruse, cleverly created by Alize.
Arlenwa smiled brilliantly at Alize. How clever! "Alright.." The man sighed, shaking his head and looking back up from his papers. "Family name?" "Arderne," Arlenwa replied without hesitation. She knew the family, and they were nobles.. so perhaps they would help them. "And your name." He pointed his quill at Arlenwa who was smiling softly. "Lisette Rodier." Poring over lists of names, he nodded. "Yes yes, everything is here." He scribbled on something, and handed Aranion a rolled up order with a crimson ribbon tied around it. "Thank you," Aranion spoke smoothly, no detectable trace of a lie in his tone.
Beaming, Arlenwa strode out of the building, the opposite way they had come, Aranion's arms now swinging at his sides, though he was frowning. The men brought their horses, Aranion mounting the chestnut right away. Arlenwa took her time, paying the handler, and gracefully pulled herself onto Sakar's broad back. "That was quick thinking Alize. Thank you." She spoke with a smile as the horses walked down the cobblestone road. "Yeah.. thanks ever so much." Aranion muttered, kicking his gelding into a trot to the front of the trio. Arlenwa sighed, shaking her head. It was lucky no one recognized her as an elf besides the merchants outside.
The trio of horses and riders came upon the large wall, guards, properly armed, looked down at the small specks of horseflesh as they approached. Arlenwa handed the scroll to a guard, and he allowed them to pass through the wall. They rode on for a while until they came to the city, the equines' hooves clacking loudly. "Anywhere special you two would like to go?"

Alize took a breath of relief when Aranion pulled away from her. She made it so it was inaudable and the man in the weird robes couldn't hear. She followed quickly out the building and practically jumped onto her horse. She smiled at the thanks she was given and she sighed. I hope you didn't mind Aranion. It was probably the closet you'll get to being married. she teased. She giggled to herself anf sighed. She enjoyed herself while she could, till she heard Arlenwa speak. She shook her head and yawned. I don't know. It's too early for me. I could do with something to perk me up. she admitted. She leaned forward on her horse and rested on the neck.

"I hope you didn't mind Aranion. It was probably the closet you'll get to being married." Aranion grimaced before smiling, letting out slow, nervous laughter. "Yeah.. most likely." He laughed again, concentrating only on the soft clacking of the chestnut's hooves, frowning.
"I don't know. It's too early for me. I could do with something to perk me up." Arlenwa pulled her hood back over her head more, avoiding the sneers and glaring faces of some of the people. She smiled at a few, not showing the discouragement she felt show on her face. "Too early for a tavern," she started, glancing around at the buildings. "Aranion would be too much to handle if we did." Aranion grumbled at this, picking at dried blood on the saddle, flicking it off and onto the cobblestone below. "Should we try to find some work then? Aquire a little money and.. we will plan something else later to do with it."

Alize shrugged, sitting back up and lifting up her hood again. She made it so the drape of it hung over her shoulders to keep her warm. She looked up and around to nearby people. She gently kicked the horse into moving and she felt her trot slowly towards Arlenwa. What sort of work could we get? she asked, in a lively voice. She swung her leg over and sat sort of side saddle and watched the two curious people on their horses before her. She sighed and turned her mare so she faced the opposite way in which they had been travelling and continued at a slow trot.

"What sort of work could we get?"
Arlenwa considered this for a moment, eyeing a man in brightly colored robes spinning around excitedly, a cart full of cloth to his left, and one full of fruit to his right. 'What a strange combination.' She thought, and biting her lower lip she looked to Alize. "Perhaps there's a bandit or someone of the like needing to be captured." The elf smirked, eyeing Aranion. "What?!" He stared at Arlenwa who merely shrugged.
"Or, perhaps.. we could sell her to these people," Aranion narrowed his eyes at Arlenwa who laughed quietly. "You are quite negative." "Not true. Ask Alize." "She will agree with me," the she-elf called back as Aranion slowed his horse. "We could possibly act as messengers. Bring needed information and such to whoever needs to receive it." Aranion sighed, catching up with the other two and riding alongisde Alize.

Alize smirked at the petty arguement that quickly subsided. She turned her head to look over her shoulder at Aranian and she could just she see the side of his face, staring ahead unfocused. She turned back and saw a notice on a wall, to her right. She pulled up next to it and skimmed the text to the important bits of what it said. 'People of Espius, we are in need of help...seeking someone to transport a message... to Prince Feredir of Anorith...' Alize peeled it of the wall and waved it at Arlenwa. "What about this?" she asked, with a quick glance at Aranian. She passed it to him, and hugged her cape closer round her body as a gusty cold wind blew.
