Buffy's revival and the instability caused by it
has allowed the First Evil to begin tipping the
balance between good and evil. It has started
hunting down and killing all of the inactive Potential Slayers,
and raising an army of ancient, powerful Turok-Han vampires.
It is also gathering minions.
After the Watchers' Council was destroyed,
Giles arrived with a number of the Potential Slayers,
and an increasing number of Potentials are taking refuge
in Sunnydale.
Meanwhile in L.A., a hellish Beast emerged and blocked out the sun.
Although the city survived, the sunlight seemed to be blotted out
permanently. The team resorted to releasing Angel's soul,
believing Angelus knew helpful information about the beast.
Although the team took safety precautions, Angelus was released
from his cell. They managed to restore Angel's soul with help from Faith and Willow.
The heroes of Sunnydale are calling in the troops.
Faith and Willow are on their way back, the Angel Gang promising to follow.
When they arrive, the battle for THE HELLMOUTH is on.
