The pending war between the Kingdom of Suncroft and the Kingdom of Aronsdale is still brewing. However neither side is willing to throw the first stone. The tension is mounting as the people of both kingdoms grow more suspicious of each other. All watch their backs and scorn those who lurk in the shadows. The royals are trying to keep their citizens calm by maintaining peace, but it seems to be having a negative effect. Meanwhile both kingdoms continue to prosper under the rule of their monarchs.
Meanwhile, behind the Ithir Mountains, a new kingdom has emerged. While Aronsdale and Suncroft fought, Amaranth laid low and built itself up. With weapons unknowns to most, Amaranth has a formidable army along with another thing neither Suncroft nor Aronsdale possess: a large scale navy. Under the rule of King David Fairflax, the kingdom expanded from the Ithir Moutains to the Laeriel Sea. He ordered roads to be built through the Ithir Mountains to connect Amaranth to Suncroft. Along with the mountain roads, Blackridge Pass was built to connect Amaranth to Aronsdale. Amaranthian traders eager to expand their routes, took to these roads and began selling their wares in the to kingdoms.
The royal families of both Suncroft and Arondale were surprised by the power of the new kingdom. Alliance treaties were sent to the King of Amaranth, but he declined them all. Suncroft and Aronsdale were bewildered by the denial, but they left it alone went back to there own affairs.
However while the two kingdoms ignored his own, King David was plotting the expansion of his kingdom. He had dreamed that Amaranth would one day be the most powerful kingdom in the land. In order to accomplish this goal, he decided that he would take over Suncroft and Aronsdale. So he built up his military, collecting any type of weapon he could find. His navy would be useless to him in this war, so soldiers were drafted and trained. As all this was done in secret, the two kingdoms remained ignorant of the upcoming invasion.
Will King David succeed in conquering Suncroft and Aronsdale, or Will Aronsdale and Suncroft join together to stop him?
